Great trail horse for anyone! Perfect stocky size at 14.1h
Note from Cynthia: "Flashy Gorgeous Golden Dapple Buckskin with long thick black mane and tail, 2 white hind socks and small white marking on forehead – he has a gold tone shine to his hair coat and is the most beautiful horse I have ever owned. Ridden extensively on trails in groups and out by himself (I ride alone most of the time and he does fine) Goes through anything, mud, creeks, river, thick brush, over downed trees, etc. Neck reins like a champ and direct reins too if you like to do that. Nice trail walk and gait and will canter too if you want him to. Stands still to be mounted (I have to use a mounting block or side of horse trailer, log on trail, etc. and he stands there and waits on me like a gentleman). Had training as a 3 year old (per previous owner) by W.A. Jenkins to put a handle on him so he probably knows more than me…LOL - (I don’t do anything fancy, just ride trails and play in the riding ring some) He has a Gentle and sweet temperament and wonderful personality. Fat as a butterball and the easiest keeper ever. Stays fat on hay and grass alone, but I give him a tiny amount of feed to keep him satisfied and he loves treats too of course. Easy to catch – he will catch you. Up to date on shoeing, worming (will suck on the tube of wormer – he loves it), has had all shots including West Nile Virus and his coggins. Stands quietly to be brushed, saddled, for the farrier, vet, etc. Loads and unloads great. (I have a two horse slant load)
Donato was not registered, but has a good solid build and gaits easily without any manipulation(bit/shoes/specialty riding) Hes been well cared for and has not been passed around from home to home so he is a really nice well loved horse. I am parting with him because I can only care for one horse and I have another horse that is taking all of my time and he is not getting the attention I think he should get and he is too nice a horse to just stand in the pasture.
